Bottom line: When Doug was interviewed by Kiplinger’s for their Retirement Planning Guide he was asked, “What is the biggest mistake you see people make concerning long-term care insurance?

“Simply put, a person will not pay as little for LTC Insurance as they will right now because of their present age and health. But the biggest mistake and one of the saddest situations I come across each week are people that “haven’t gotten around to it yet”. When they do decide, “it’s time” they have lost that window of opportunity because their health has changed. And sometimes it’s just a minor change. This happens too often. They should find out their long-term care insurance options NOW before they lose their eligibility. Then they can make an educated decision concerning LTCI.”
